Newsletter October 2014 to the member of ECPR’s Standing Group on Public Opinion and Voting Behaviour in a Comparative Perspective

1. The Glasgow General Conferences in 2014
We had initiated a section for the General Conference in Glasgow in September 2014 Changing Patterns of Electoral Competition and Voting Behaviour organized by Romain Lachat (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) and Lorenzo De Sio (LUISS University). It consisted of eight panels which were well attended. Further information can be found at: http://www.ecpr.eu/Events/SectionDetails.aspx?SectionID=292&EventID=14
We would like to take the opportunity to thank Romain and Lorenzo for organizing this interesting section.

2. The Montreal General Conference in 2015
The next general conference takes place in Montreal, 26-29 August 2015. The Call for Sections opened last week and will close November 17, 2014.
As the years before, we would like to initiate two section proposals from our standing group: one proposal on elections and electoral behaviour (panels on the regional, national and European level), and one proposal on the more general topic of public opinion attitudes and values. If some of you will submit a section proposal within one of these fields, please contact us as soon as possible, the latest before October 20, 2014.
