Dear colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to the above workshop, which is aimed
at assessing and expanding the potential of social media to provide
reliable and valid measurement of public opinion. A wide range of papers
is welcomed: empirical studies of public mood via social media;
methodological work generating and validating social media measures of
opinion; theoretical contributions on the nature of public opinion measured
via social media or on their role in processes of democratic deliberation
