Experienced Researcher Position at TNS Opinion

We invite applications for one 1-year research post for an experienced researcher as part of a Marie Curie Initial Training Network in Electoral Democracy (ELECDEM), funded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme.

One research project Social and Economic Well Being will be hosted at TNS Opinion (www.tns-opinion.com). TNS Opinion specialises in coordinating multinational opinion surveys with over 30 years’ coordination experience, including running Eurobarometer.

The objectives of this project are:

  • Develop a European social and economic wellbeing index based on existing indicators in Eurobarometer data
  • Identify and develop new indicators for future use in cross-national surveys

TNS is seeking 1 experienced researcher to undertake project management, data analysis tasks, theoretical development and report writing related to this project in the process of developing his/her post-doctoral professional career. The gross salary for a fulltime position is €53,000/year (plus allowances, approx. €500 for mobility and €600 training per month).

Deadline for applications is 1 March 2010 but applications will be reviewed as they arrive. Exepected start date is 1 April 2010.
